Good Afternoon 4th Grade Parents!
Today our writer-in-residence, Mr. Tony Peacock, let our students daydream to the melodies of four different types of classical music. Each student chose one place to write about in class.
For tonight's homework, your student has chosen a second place to write about. Our emphasis tonight is on writing a paragraph (or two) describing the place they daydreamed about.
Here is a great example of a paragraph:
I was standing on a hill in the mountains on a crisp spring day. The wind rushed around my body, almost as if was trying to push me down the hill. Instead of resisting, I let the wind push my body forward and I began to roll down the hill. The grass tickled my face as I rolled through it on my way to the bottom of the hill. As I reached the bottom of the hill, I lay there staring at the large, fluffy clouds. My eyes were overwhelmed with the beauty of nature!
Parents, please check over your student's homework to ensure that they do not write in the margins of their paper. Each paragraph should have 3-5 sentences. The minimum for this assignment is one paragraph and the maximum is 3 paragraphs. Handwriting for this assignment should be legible and neat.
