Hi again! Happy Wednesday!
Today Mr. Peacock helped our students let their imaginations run wild with a "Create a Character" activity. Each student had an opportunity to choose a picture that featured a person they thought they could write about. They gathered their thoughts first and then wrote a paragraph that described their character. They had to give their character a respecful name, describe what they were doing or seeing, and then expand on those ideas in a paragraph.
For homework tonight, we're aksing our students to practice this skill. Each student was given a copy of one of Mr. Peacock's photos. They are to choose one of the people in the photo to write about. Their paragraph should be written from that person's point of view (either the older man or the toddler). They should write in third person.
I've included the photo below just in case your student loses their copy between school and home.
